Rochester Great Harvest looks like no other Great Harvest out there. We operate under a “Freedom Franchise.” The “Freedom” part means that we get to run our business in a way that meets our community’s unique needs. The “Franchise” part gives us access to the recipes and processes that GH has continuously improved for over two decades. The result is breads and sweets that will knock your socks off!
The Owner
My name is Rich Hedstrom, along with my wife Fei Fei and our two children Cameron and Nicole we are excited to keep on providing the phenomenal and delicious products and customer service that came to Rochester, MN over 20 years ago. I was born and raised right here in Rochester, MN! I left Rochester in 1992 for University and to find a way to make a living. 30 years later and after living and working in multiple states and countries I made the decision to move back to Minnesota. A homecoming of sorts. I fell in love with Great Harvest Bread Co.'s product through colleagues and friends that ran Great Harvest Bread Co. bakeries, but more importantly I fell in love and believe in the GREAT HARVEST MISSION! We welcome YOU to the Great Harvest Bread Co. Rochester, MN family.

Traditional Ways
At Great Harvest, we're dedicated to the traditional ways of bread making. We're a 'low tech,' old fashioned, scratch bakery. We use pure, wholesome ingredients. We add no fats, oils or preservatives. Each loaf is kneaded by hand. It takes time and a lot of work, but we truly enjoy keeping things deliciously simple.
Whole Grains
Our flour is the heart and soul of our bread. That's why we're both bakers and millers. At the crack of dawn each morning, we stone grind high protein Montana spring wheat into the freshest flour possible. Nothing's added or removed. This is the magic of whole grain breads and sweets. That gives each loaf a pure, rich wheat flavor you'll never taste from flour that's days old.
A Free Slice
You can always stop in for a free, thick slice of fresh bread from our breadboard, and stick around for a while to enjoy the sights and smells of our fresh bread baking.
